I'd like to enter or delete data on the calendar.

This is possible. To enter data, double tap (tap twice rapidly) or long tap the date on the calendar to enter data.

To delete data, tap the data you would like to delete from the list to the bottom and tap delete to the bottom left. You can also swipe the corresponding data to the left on the list to delete it.
